XP mode crash after login

XP mode on will immediately crash (shut down) after starting.
Was working fine.
I had the same thing once when trying to connect to a remote desktop.
With that ~ I stopped the sessions (it was on a server) and it hasn't happened since.
I suspect a video related error but unsure.
Any advice or direction to take?

Um this one may be a tough one for me as I have no experience at all with XP mode.

First thing is first...we must make sure that the host operating system is well. Have you ever had bsod while using only the host OS?

Does this XP Mode crash produce a blue screen while it is shutting down?

From what my client tells me ~ as soon as it starts up it immediately terminates and shuts down.
No indication of a BSOD.
I haven't seen it yet ~ I will look at it today and report back.
I plan on terminating the vhd and hope a new startup will cure.
I had another similar situation as mentioned before when trying to connect to a remote desktop connection.
