I finally worked around a problem that arose about 1.5 weeks ago: few if any images or photos would be displayable from an e-mail. I finally tried going into IE and setting the Proxy specification to "none". I had done that previously in Mozilla Firefox to solve another problem. WLM must "borrow" some IE code ro methods to handle images. Anyway, it worked. (My ISP had advised me that I really don't need a proxy server specification, the way their servers are set up.) Thought this might be of interest.
