Upon first boot in the morning or of the day my system starts to boot but after showing the Windows Startup screen it reboot before getting to the logon screen. I always have to run through a startup repair sequence and then it seems to work okay, unless tunred off for many hours. After the first fix I usually am fine for the day. But each morning or after a long power off period I get the BSOD or run into inability to boot cleanly. I also recently began to get an 0xc00000e9 error when trying to load memtest x86 to check my ram. Here is my minidump file analysis please see if you can help. I am new to the debugging tool so tell me if I need to do something differerent. Also do not really know how to read it.

Thank you so much.

Forgot to add the mini dump file analysis.

Let me know if I need to provide anything else like a CPU-Z report if you think that could help.

Sorry. New to this process. Just figured out how to load the file. Thank you.

Hi Ronsanut,

People need to look at the actual *.dmp file(s) to be able to help. Copy it/them from the C:\Windows\Minidump folder to your desktop. Zip up the copy(ies) and attach the zipped folder to a post.

Please follow Elmer's instructions as he is exactly right:

I am thinking that it may be bad RAM. But I can not even load memtest 86. The Windows recovery screen RAM tests seem to result in no errors.

Crash Files and memory test

I ran msched and it returned no errors. And it has not crashed agian - yet. The crash files are the same as I posted earlier.

You mentioned 2003 2005 driver files . Which ones ? Should I just go and download the latest off each vendor site ? I thought I had done this but maybe not.

Thanks,

I turned the machine off for an hour and when I came back and booted, it did the same thing on power up. But I ran the minidump and do not see a new minidump file.
I downloaded the latest video driver and motherboard chipset drivers. Before but it did not change anything. I am thinking of reloading everything but was hoping we could narrow things down.

Update - A couple of hours later new dump file.

Attached is a zip file of the dump file from this last BSOD when I turned the system on. Looks like the same error. I also attached a CPU-Z report, hopefully it helps.

Can you tell if bad memory is likely ? Any suggestions ?

Thank you.

I checked the voltage setting my motherboard has for the memory and it sets it to 1.5v. I checked on OCZ's website and found that the memory is supposed to run at 1.65v. So I adjusted the bios setting so far the RAM to 1.64v , and so far all seems well, but I have not let the system sit for a long period of time yet to see. Later or first thing in the morning will be the true test.

Can you tell if bad memory is likely ? Any suggestions ?
As for the RAM settings in bios, the best and most accurate way is to look up the exact specs at the manufacturer's site. Even a slight shift from the right settings can cause freezes and crashes. Both RAM timings and voltage are very important. 'Auto' almost always works but yet not always.

I did reload the Biostar chip set last night with the latest drivers and this morning it did the same thing. So I finally went out and exchanged the OCZ memory for Corsair memory. And so far today after three prolonged periods of shut down. Each time it boots up with absolutely no problems. I will try it again tonight and then test it again in the morning and if it does not do it again I will proclaim this one solved. Thank you for all your awesome help. I am sure cleaning up the drivers was a big help and needed to be done. By the way can you tell me what tools you used to be able to get to see the list of drivers as you were able to provide in those windows ?

I would like to learn to analyze and help troubleshoot my systems.

Thanks again and tomorrow morning I will post a 24 hour result.

Well here it is folks ! Problem SOLVED. Fired up this morning after a long awaited boot and absolutely glorious results. A beautiful clean boot again, NO BSOD (knock on wood) . So all of the driver clean up and replacing the RAM did the job for me . This time.... Thank you very much for all your help. Now I have a media center PC to play with. Looks like I may have some WMC issues. We will see.

Thanks again.
