a fix. This is the summary message. Can anyone help me to understand it?

Check your BIOS settings for your hard drive.
However it is currently set, try another option...look at AHCI options
in particular

I specifically said to check your BIOS settings.

That has NOTHING to do with checking your RAM

Try running startup repair from the Windows 7 rescue CD.
The one shown when a HD boot fails rarely does anything useful.
If the rescue CD startup repair fails, try a hard disk check, also
after booting to the Windows 7 rescue disk.
If you didn't make a rescue CD, now's the time you wish you had
of course, but google and you may be able to find a downloadable
ISO which you can use to burn one.
The failure code looks like either a faulty HD, or a malware
attack. Running system file checker (google windows 7 SFC)
may help.

Boot with the Win 7 DVD in command line mode, then run:

sfc /scannow

I had tried sfc /scannow. But not with the DVD. I will go and check what
DVDs I made when I bought the PC. I certainly tried to do it all by the
book
