My computer is having a problems with not loading correctly. And when I run a Norton Scan, it will run to a certain point and then this Microsoft box appears :
"The instruction at 0x0000000076C0FDFC referenced memory at 0x0000000076C0FDFC. The reqired data was not placed into me because of an I/O error status of Oxc0000185".
Can some one please help?
Thank You,
George Jurak

Very hard to guess your computer problem but most likely possibilities are virus, hardware failure, or bad drivers.

Best bet is to rule out virus first.

Download TDSSKiller and RKill from our Freeware DB. Since you say Norton bombs out I suggest you download, install, and allow to update Malwarebytes (just do not activate MBAM's free trial because you only want the passive functionality, not a conflict with Norton's active scanner).

Then reboot your system into safe mode without networking (Reboot and, when it says "Starting Windows," Press F8; If you get a message asking continue in safe mode or perform a system restore, choose continue in safe mode). Now run TDSSKiller and after that run RKill and after that run a full MBAM virus scan. The first two will take maybe 5 minutes each but a full virus scan can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on your hard drive size and number of files.

TDSSKiller is designed specifically to look for rootkits. RKill is designed to stop the stealthing programs that hide/protect/regenerate some nasty viruses. Running these first will help ensure your A/V has the absolute best chance of cleaning up infected files.

customizewindows, I fail to see what that website has to do with gjurak's problem so I have deleted the link. Please keep your posts specific to the question.
