I have a system with 2 hard drives working on 1 PC each with a Windows partition. On one, an SSHD with GPT partition system I had Windows 8.1 while on an older SATA III drive and I also I had a partition with Windows 7 SP 1 (this was the old style MBR). The Windows 8.1 OS has suddenly stopped booting i.e. after the boot manager stage the computer turns off before any loading bar or image appears but the Windows 7 system is OK.
I have tried using the Windows 8.1 repair environment (on a USB) and using bootrec command in a command prompt without success.
