Why SPP service terminates unexpectedly?

My Acer - Aspire came with Windows 7. I did install SP1 and updates that came later.
Since April 2016 "Software Protection Service has not been working therefore I can't run any kind of Updates."

In Services dialog box, I tried to Automatic (Delayed Start) SPP service but nothing happened! Windows 7 starts slow, after about couple of minutes of log-in, I get following pop-up notification: Windows must now restart because the Software Protection service terminated unexpectedly.

Win7 restarts like this that takes me back to Log In page! Every kind of Help shall be appreciated!
