And, what were you going to say.John?
Or did you forget it? ;-)
Bruce Hagen said:Yup. You got it. Storage folders, or create your own
folders first.
Peter Jason said:It does the job, but it's tedious beyond belief. Also when I transfer
all the newly-created folders to the new computer I put them into:
"Users\Peter\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live Mail\Storage Folders"
Is this the correct destination?
When I get all the old folders to the above, some times the folders are
duplicated, with a "(1)" after the name, though also sometimes with a
curious "(2j)" after the name. Some of these duplicate folders are
empty and I delete them. I hope this is OK?
Then when I have them all in the "Storage Folder", I go to WLM and
redirect them into suitable other and subfolders. Is this alright?

Bruce Hagen said:I'm no WLMail wiz. I used it for awhile and that switched
to Thunderbird. However, if you had created local folders
first, you could have dragged the messages directly to
them. As it is now, you can still create new local folders
and then move the messages to them. When I did use WLMail,
I had no desire to use storage folders or quick views and
had them both disabled, but that's strictly up to you.
