Transferring bookmarks from one computer to another re: Win 7 IE 9

I have multiple bookmarks on my present computer (Win 7 Home Premium & IE 9) and need to transfer to new computer (not yet purchased).

How do I do this? Are the bookmarks stored in a particular file and if so what is it's name?


Thanks for your help in advance as I am really stuck here.

Assuming your login is "Wizzzard" and your OS is on C: then, by default, your favorites are stored in C:\Users\Wizzzard\favorites

But if you want to transfer all your data, userids, & settings then what you should do is run Windows Easy Transfer (including as part of W7, can be downloaded for XP) on the old machine and then transfer the back-up file created to the new machine and double click on it. Windows easy transfer will offer to restore all the info onto the new machine.
