Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller will not run at 1gbps

I've tried suggestions from threads on problems with speed running at 100mbps instead of 1gbps however, cannot increase the speed and it is driving me insane. Any suggestions?

You need to provide more detail as what you are trying to do.

Like the hardware & model numbers. Both on what your hardware is as well as the hardware that you are trying to connect to.

100 Mbps is more than adequate, especially if you're on an internet connection.

The gigabyte speed would only pertain in the fact if you had two computers directly connected to one another with ethernet cabling.

What exactly is it you're trying to accomplish here? You have not stated what your specific situation is.
