Hi all,

I just built this computer a week ago, and since that day I've been getting periodic freezing (every 1-2hrs) when I am using my computer. It will be random, it could happen while listening to music and browsing the internet, or the computer could be idle and it freezes. To describe the freeze better, the computer just locks up, it does not blue screen. I must hard boot to get it back up.

Here is my hardware:

MOBO: Gigabyte P67A-UD4-B3
RAM: 8GB Corsair RAM
VC: ATI Radeon HD 6850
PSU: OCZ 600W
CPU: Intel i5-2400
HDD: 500GB SATA3
HDD2: 320GB SATA2
OS: Windows 7 x64

I have done all the newest driver updates and windows updates (SP1). Did memtest and RAM came back clean. I have sleep mode and hibernation disabled.

I tried running the computer in safe mode for 2hrs+ and it did not freeze which makes me think it could be a driver issue. But I have all the most recent drivers?

Can anyone help?

I have solved the issue. I had to enable X.M.P. in my bios.

This changed my RAM to the manufacter intended mhz.

No more freezing
