Hello. So I am ordering an external SSD from Crucial. However, I am receiving conflicting opinions as to whether I can actually install and use Windows 7 on the external SSD. What I am planning to do with my existing HDD, while obviously leading it as it is inside my PC, is basically mothball it and use only the external SSD. Is this feasible?
I would appreciate a little guidance on how to "mount" the new SSD to get it up and running as the primary working drive on my PC as quickly as possible.
I am running Windows 7 Professional 64 Bit on a rather old HP computer that still works fine and gives no problems.
Any helpful responses much appreciated.

You can use both Drives in a RAID style. You can even use more than 2 drives, if you need the space. Read about RAID. You can split the chores of each drive. Mount? SSD are small and lightweight. If you must mount it, use velcro.
