Windows Ultimate 7 x64bit freezes

Hi,

I am being to get really very annoyed with the freezing issue with my recently new computer parts.
I recently bought good stuff and here are the specs :

AMD Phenom II 955 Stocked at 3.2ghz and voltage at 1.38.(New)
Zalman Cnps9900a Led cpu cooler.(New)
DFI Lan Party AMD 790FX M3-H5 (New)
250GB Hitachi Deskstar Sata @ 7,200rpm
Geforce 9800GTX+
4 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 at 1333mhz with 9.9.9.34 timings with 2T < dont know what that is (New)
600Watts OCZ ModXstream PSU (New)

I have installed windows 7 ultimate 64bit and when i installed the newly updated drivers and i have primed it for 14 hours and the funny thing is that, when i do the mem test with no errors at all and when it reaches to 67% and it freezes.

It still also have some random freezes, such as playing games e.g dirt 2. Browsing the web, Youtube, etc random freezes at random point.

I checked the event viewer and all i get this, Event 41 Kernel Power Task 63.

I have no idea how the hell it freezes.... this is just giving me too much annoyance and wasting money.......

Guys, please help....

1) Did your computer have these problems when 7 was installed if not when did they start.
2) what kind of error messages are you getting when these programs crash
3) what kind of programs do you have running at the same time?


Try this to fix the Operating System:
1) The next time your computer freezes try to open the task manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift + Delete and try to kill the program that seems to be freezing the system. If that doesn't work then click on the processes tab and try to find a process named "explorer.exe" right click it and select "end process". Then go back to the applications tab and click on the New Task... button and type explorer.exe press ok. Sometimes this helps you regain control during a freeze up.
2) Scan for viruses with Malwarebytes
3) If all else fails and you just want to put these problems behind you. Back up all your important data. Music, Pictures, and everything you will need. You will be restoring your computer to factory settings. The following website offers allot of information on the different way to restore windows 7

As for the "Event 41 Kernel Power Task 63" it just means you shutdown your computer improperly ( probably because you couldn't shut down normaly because of the freeze up ) so there is no indication of what caused the crash here.

Try some other things to help me troubleshoot.
1) Do you build your system yourself?
If so I want to see if there is any conflicts
1) Click on your start button and type "system information" without "" then press enter
2) Click the "plus" button beside Hardware Resouces then click on Conflicts/Sharing to highlight it.
3) goto click on the edit tab, then click on select all, then go back into the edit tab and select copy, then paste this information into your next post.

It sounds like you may end up reinstalling windows 7, but once you do I think you will be up and running again.

Have you checked you BIOS firmware to see if its up to date?

Are your BIOS settings set to "Optimized"?

Running latest, up to date drivers and such?

I have first installed win 7 ulti 64bit and it still freezes, i installed windows vista home premium 32bit on a laptop harddrive and it had no problems at all then later on the hard drive got screwed. lol. I installed win 7 ulti 32 bit and it froze too. i am really annoyed about it and i installed windows 7 ulti 64bit and it froze too.

I have recently switched the ram around. I primed it and it was fine. Memtested it for 14-15 hours and it was so stable. When i stopped it and left for idle. When i try to move the mouse, everything froze, just like lock up. I got really more annoyed with it.

The freezes i have experienced with is not like a normal freeze.. everything froze. cant move the mouse, cant start up on the task bar, ctrl+alt+del wont work....

Do you think it should be the powersupply or rams?

Bios is updated, and optimized? i setted everything to stock and automatic.

Drivers are all recently new.

What you're showing is just what the IRQ is using on the motherboard, it doesn't necessarily mean you have a conflict of hardware. What I see listed is normal on you IRQs.

What is your hardware such as mobo, CPU, RAM, hard drive(s), DVD drive, card readers, etc. You should be running about a 500-600 watt power supply for most modern system hardware.

Give us your system specs, it will be a big help.

I see you're running an AMD chipset motherboard and an nVidia video card.

I know you're gonna think this is strange, but sometimes there are conflicts between AMD chipsets and nVidia graphics drivers. It has happened in the past.

Did you ever run another Windows operating system on this configuration?

I am running windows vista home premimum 64 bit... its far far more stable than windows 7....

so you think i should get a ATi video card?
