Hi everyone,
I have an HP computer with windows 7. Have had it for years now. When ever I am done with surfing, I put the computer in sleep mode. Lately when I try to wake the computer up the next day , it will turn on and the blue light will light up and the fans will run, but the monitor will still be dark. I will have to hold the power button down and turn off the computer and then unplug the computer to get it to start working. Then it says " computer cannot come out of hibernation mode".
Then underneath it says "file:\hiberfil.sys"
It did start to work properly for a few days, but is back again.
I did do the powercfg -h off in the command, but did not work.
Also did the scan and it said everything ok.
Any advice to fix this problem would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Ok, Went to command prompt and went in as administrator and typed powercfg.exe /hibernate Off and then enter. Then typed powercfg.exe /hibernate On then enter. Then typed exit. I also went to hp update and updated graphic card.
So it works now but not sure how long.
P.S. Made sure space after exe. and after hibernate.
