Windows 7 - Windows Media Player - Another annoyance

My WMP opens on "library" maximized. When I change the view to "skin" it
comes up small and must be maximized manually. If I open on "skin" it
opens maximized but if I change to "library" *that* comes up small and
has to be maximized manually. In other words, only the opening view is
maximizez. Any ideas what is going on? TIA.

That'll be WMP 12, yes? That comes with Win7.
If this chap in the link below is to be trusted it's fixed to start
minimised in that view, and can only be changed by a little utility he's
written and made available to one and all;

Make sure you check it with your anti-v before running it. Not that I'm
suggesting he might be guilty of such lowness, but others might have
added some virus just to feed their own meanness of spirit.

Thanks Ed. And yes, it's getting to a point where I check everything
through my anti-v before anything else. Can't see what pleasure can be
derived from messing up other people's machines, but, such is life.

Yes, such is life.

When there are people in the world who consider themselves "good" and
yet blow themselves to Kingdom Come in a line of complete strangers,
well, it's easy to accept that there are imps and villains who take
delight in messing up a stranger's computer.

BSTS (better safe than sorry)
