Hey guys,

Using M5A88-M Mobo, I have 2 raid 1 setups, and 1 spare drive.
Windows 7 accepted my RAID drivers, and is asking me to select which hard drive to install the OS on.

I'm able to "format" the hard drive successfully, however I receive the error:

"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition. See the setup log files for more information."

no matter if I select 1 of the 2 raids, or my spare drive.
Thanks for any help.

well i had the exact same problem
how big is your drive?
if its 2tb or bigger you wont be able to install windows on it
as far as i know
if it isnt a 2Tb(+) raid construction then
i solved it this way:
use ubuntu 9.11 and boot it to try mode
live cd function then open gparted (partition manager)
and with that format the raid construction to something else
like ext2 or anything else
then reboot and boot it with the windows install cd
and install will go trough this time
at least it did by me
