Linux Ubuntu Really Is Better Than Windows 7

Smelly Pussy

I'll admit I was skeptical about trying Linux, especially after
reading all the Linux sucks messages. I have to admit though, after
trying Ubuntu Linux I am pleasantly surprised. There is so much
included with this distribution that I can't believe they give it away
for free! After using Windows 7 since the beta testing, I have finally
removed it and switched totally to Linux. It hasn't been completely
smooth, but overall, things worked fine for me right from the install
which only took 15 minutes.
I'm still trying to get my Lexmark printer to work.
I haven't figured out how to get sound installed but I have been
playing with a program called modprobe and it appears the driver
sound.o is not being loaded so at least I am making progress. The
other problem I am having is with my ATI card which doesn't seem to
want to go over 800x600 rezolootion. That's not acceptable on a 22
inch LCD monitor but I am working on that one. I should have the kinks
worked out by the end of the weekend. I can't believe Linux is free.
They could easily charge $100.00 for this software. You should try
Linux before criticizing it.
You might be pleasently surprised.
I am.

Kisses!

Your message could have been a lot shorter if you posted what actually did
work with Linux.

Looks like a typical Linux experience to me.

1. Install Linux and nothing works
2. Spend weeks searching the Internet to find solutions to problems.
3. Fix some problems but others crop up.
4. Remove Linux and go back to Windows.

It happens all the time and I'll hazard a guess that in a week or so you
will be back to
Windows 7.
BTW have you tried douching ?
It might help your smelly pussy.
If not, you'll fit right in with the unwashed bearded Linux masses.
Do you enjoy eating toe jam like this guy?

A Fact.
Most things won't work with Linux. That's why the support forums are
filled to the brim with complaints and Linux victims seeking help.

Installed mine in less time than it takes to have a cup of coffee.
Yea, now what?
Compile your kernel or play with emacs.
The choice is yours.

Of course you can always play a rip roaring game of Tux Racer!

A fact.

LOL! *That's* funny.
If all those downloads that the Linux freaks claim are happening were
still in use a week after they were first installed, we would not be
talking about Windows because it's market share would be very low.

The truth is, people download Linux, try Linux and then remove Linux
because they discover for themselves that Linux sucks!

Lol, it seems that almost everybody failed to understand the sarcasm of your
message.

Linux will be the real option to W7 as soon as it starts to cost at least as
much as W7, there's no such things as GOOD and FREE, believe me everything
that's good as a cost.

I think you substituted the word sarcasm for stupidity.

They are trolls, nothing more. They like to put a spider and wasp under a

Yeah, but who gets the wasp and spider under the jar? They must be going
in willingly since no troll can force them on Usenet. It takes two (or
more) to tango/flame.

Force?

No, just provoke.

Oh, sarcasm, I love it!

Unless you actually are serious but with a screen name like yours, its
impossible to take you seriously. However, it does sound like most
Ubuntu and or Linux in general installs.

1> sound doesn't work or having trouble getting it to work

2> printer issues

3> video cards being incompatible, unable to use their full capabilities
and the typical linux response is "Well, your video card sucks, buy a
good video card!"

Saying Linux is or is not better than Windows is like saying a shovel is
better than a rake. Yeah, it might be, if you are trying to dig a hole. If
you want to rake out a seed bed, a rake is better.

Some distributions are better than others when it comes to having drivers
included so that it runs on your hardware right out of the box. Others
require that you know how to rebuild a kernel and hunt down and compile
drivers and missing applications. Linux just wasn't made for the technically
faint of heart. Windows was.

And with a screen name like the guy before you...I have a hard time taking
anything he says seriously...puulleeaassee...his Daddy needs to take his
computer way from him until he grows up.

Oh and don't forget that when you finally do get your video card to work,
along comes an updated Kernel and breaks it again....

That's what happened to me.
I had all my video working great with Linux, dual monitors and all.
I did some updates from the Fedora repositories and upon the next
reboot I was left at a command line root login.

Took me 2 days to figure out how to fix it and lucky I had another
computer that I could get on the net with or I would have been dead.

No more Linux for me.
It's just not worth the time wasted trying to make simple things work.
