i downloaded win 7 iso from digital river via windows 7 forums, to do a repair install, and now i keep getting the message " your copy of windows is not genuine" in addition, my desktop background has turned black. has anyone else had this problem after dowloading this iso from digital river?

Enter your license key on the control panel > system ... change product key screen and choose activate.
Depending where you got it though, It is quite possible your key isn't valid. There are many places that sell keys which work for a short time but are disabled by Microsoft in 30 to 120 days because they sell the same key to many people.
