Well, there it is. My problem is windows 7 takes 5 minutes to boot to desktop. I use Perfectdisk to defrag and have done a boot defrag. Little help please. TIA!!

Hi forest.lawn and Welcome to The Forum.

More importantly than your rig. What starts up when Windows starts?

Type msconfig.exe in the Start Menu 'Search' window and enter. When MSConfig opens, have a look under the start up tab.

Five minutes is seriously excessive (Christ! I moan if I get above 100 seconds!!).
