I recently installed a new copy of Windows 7 on my new computer. I have installed some other software now as well although I don't think this is the problem.

When I run msconfig (I was just checking things out), I am unable to change any settings under the boot tab. I can't click on anything. I then went into system properties and under startup and recovery the default operating system is blank. Nothing is listed.

Any way to fix this without having to reinstall windows?

Thank you.

Well I solved my own problem. Did a littler more research and found an answer. I had a 100mb hidden partition on my main drive. I just assigned a letter to that partition and now all the settings are available.

Thanks.

Glad you worked it out; I didn't have any ideas to offer on this one. Hopefully your experience will help someone else with the same problem.
