Windows 7 Hibernate Problem

Onkell Wang

My laptop is TOSHIBA C850.
The default power settings for Hibernate is off.
However, if I turn it on and when it resumes from hibernate, the screen
will hang, worse still, it could take many restarting to make it work
properly again. Does any one have the same problem? A solution?

did you check for bios update? Toshiba updates of the bios are
relatively easy now.
did you check for video card update?

depending on how technical you are, you could try the startup trace.
toshiba has some good forums of their own where info from the trace
would be helpful if you can't decipher it.

They also have had some motherboard problems that have caused this in
some models, that they seem to be fixing.
