Hello all,
we're trying to migrate to Win7 but we're experiencing an issue:

- We have a legacy application for two more years that will not be updated.
- That application is hard coded to print to LPT1 or LPT2 or LPT3.
- The users print on a Win2008 R2 print server. For example \\printsrv\hp1

In previous versions of Windows we solved this by using net use and simply redirect the LPT to the UNC. This will not work on Windows7 and we have not been able to find official information on the subject.

Has anyone stumbled across this and solved it or found a workaround.

Just to precise, we have (with administrative priviliges) ran:
net use LPT2 \\printsrv\hp1
Command is accepted and can be found when running "net use". Also the different vaiables have been tested (persistent, username & password).

We would hate to postpone Win7 for two years for this little issue...
Very thankful for any ideas!
