How does it connect, PCI or USB 1 or 2, or old ISA format. Think this is more a HW issue. If it can be connected physicl it will become a driver issue. If you connect it, does you receive a messages like "new hardware detected". If you do, you perhaps get a "driver not found" message. Hauppage is good, that is what is recomende to me bu experts when I did consideration. I bought i cheap on, which I regret, because it not relyable. Shows that I want to record does not, since the card has gone "offline".

Make sure the card supports the codecs for your TV signal provider. Make sure it is supported by Windows Home Theater OS, or MythTV or whatever OS you are gone use.

Good luck

Yes, I have one for my portable. And for a portable solution I guess an USB solution is the best perhaps for a HTC-pc as well. I understood that mr Maddison would have a solution for PCI or PCIe.
