How can I customize Windows folders?

What are the easiest ways to change the color of the folder icon or mark it with a noticeable sign?

Open up File Explorer and right-click on the folder you want to change. Choose Properties. Select the Customize Tab. Set a folder picture for on the icon or change the icon ... but unless you use the View option "Extra Large icons" or "Large icons" or "Medium icons" then you won't notice a difference
