Free software to count the contents of folders

we have a folder with 760 folders containing 9234 files.
we need to print off just how many files (tif files) are in each folder.

Do you just need to know how many TIFF files there are in the folder? If so, there are lots of ways to do this without any external software (you could use the search filter in Explorer to search for "*.tiff" and then look at the bottom of the window to see how many files are shown).

Windirstat should do what you want too. It's free and really quite good.
