Thumbnails View

Is there an easy way to turn Thumbnails View on / off in Windows Explorer?
Right now I have to go into the CP / System / Advanced Settings etc. Kind of
cumbersome.

Thanks,

Oreally

I tried this but had to go to folder options...then view...then..."always
show icons, never thumbnails"

Still too many steps...but maybe I misunderstood you.

Weird! I tried Bob's suggestion and it worked for several folders.
On the remainder of the folders it would not budge and images show. The
View appeared only twice and then it did not appear any more.
How to get rid of those images and get back to List?
What is the difference between List and Details? - it seems very tiny.

Thanks to all :)

Some Explorer settings aren't system wide. Did you repeat Bob's
procedure in the folders where it didn't work, or did you just open
those folders expecting them to look the same?

I can't figure out what that means.

Follow Bob's procedure. It works for me.

List doesn't show any details, and Details does show them. I find it to
be a very *large* difference, visually. Is your file pane set only one
column wide?

It's the icon size option.

There is no "thumbnails" in "Details", you want Thumbnails then pick
Medium Icons.

OREALLY

Okay...where exactly is 'thumbnails' option in view?

Gene, do you remember Valorie?
I think this guy is worse, if that's possible.

Someone needs to take a screen cap, then circle the things he should
be looking at in a thick bright red, and post the link here for him.
Describing it in words just doesn't seem to be working. It may not be
his fault, of course. English may not be his first or second language,
and computer knowledge may not be his strength.

There isn't. If you haven't disabled them in System Settings, all you
have to do is switch between "Icon" view, and "List" view, effectively
turning them "on and off".

There is no 'Icon View' in 'View' ....Switching to small...large etc icons
does not show thumbnails!
