The Snipping Tool has disappeared

I meant you to understand that since I had created a shortcut to it, I had
previously found it.

The post of yours that I replied to seemed to imply that you thought I
couldn't find the Snipping tool. That was a trifle insulting, if I may say
so.

Bloch is a surprisingly common surname. My grandfather came here from Riga,
Latvia. Did yours? Or did your great-grandfather? If not, we're probably
not related.

I understand Bloch to be from a Polish word that originally meant foreigner
(cognate of Wales, Wallachia, olah, vlach, et al), but in Poland a couple
of centuries ago, it began to be applied to Italian Jews who had migrated
to Poland. This is not the source of my nickname (Gino), but it justifies
it :)
Not meant to be insulting to anyone, just explaining why I did not elaborate on
how to make an icon to run it no matter where one places it. Mine is on my
desktop. Maybe I should have replied to an earlier post in this topic.

I am aware that Bloch is a common name. My father grew up in Baden Baden,
Germany but unfortunately I never tried to trace back further. If you use Geni
you can find my full family tree there. My father's mother was an Oppenheimer
so it is quite large.

At least it wasn't a big insult :)

It's beginning to look like I might even recover...

Just playing - I do appreciate your response.

....Staying OT for a moment longer :)

I should really go to a genealogy site (or several) and try to track down
my roots while I live, but somehow I seem to just think of it as being too
long gone to bother with.

It does look like you and I have little likelihood of being related, but of
course there's always a chance that I'm wrong.
