System Restore Problem

I have a 32bit netbook and a 64bit desktop. Was checking system restore
and noticed that there were no restore points for the last MS updates or
scheduled point. Task Scheduler does have the correct entry.

I googled and not sure of the "fixes" I saw.

Any help Please

Thanks

I dunno for sure Ken. But I seem to recall some large updates, Microsoft
purposely disables System Restore to make the install fit into a smaller
space requirement. If I recall correctly installing XP SP3 did this. And
when an update goes wrong and the user tries to restore and none was
created, they generally get a bit upset. And frankly, I don't blame
them. I don't know if this is the same in your case or not.

The other netbook and desktop do show the updates. That is what I use as
a benchmark and the reason I think something is wrong.

Did you also check that system protection was still turned on when you
were checking the system restore points?

Yes I did and no virus or malware. I made a restore point, so will have
to monitor restore more often.
