Pictures default save location

One of the first things I do is to change the default save location for My Documents, Pictures and Music to a separate partiton (D: drive). When I click on My Documents, it takes me to the correct folder on the D: drive.

However, In Win7 when I import my photos from my SD card, it ignores the default photo location and imports them to c:\users\WSZ\My Pictures. Now I have photos in two different places. How do I change the default import location for Windows Photo Viewer or Windows Live Photo Gallery so that all my photos are saved to D:\My Documents\Pictures?

How did you change the default location?

You might have to edit the pointers in the registry to get it to work the way you want.
