hi, guys.
I tried to install windows 7 on my laptop Dell inspiron 1440, windows loading files in DVD but when it comes to the step to select drives to install, no drives found in it.
In BIOS i set to AHCI, the BIOS show the amount of my hard drive (320GB). Actually, i already have windows seven in my laptop but windows can not start normally. There is an error message with blue screen appears and gone, so i try to make fresh installation using W7 DVD. I could not make repairing using W7 DVD because no drives found to be repaired.

What should i do with this problem....? I need ur help, Please. Thank you very much.

Hi, and welcome to the forums!
Ok... So firstly, What version of Windows are you trying to install?

Have you tried repairing the existing Windows with the installation DVD? That might work.

Also, could you please include your computers specs?

Cheers,
