After upgrade from Vista 64 to Win7 the internal speaker work, as do all audio jacks (both speaker and microphone). But when I connect my laptop to my HDTV via HDMI, I get no sound throughput. Also I can not see in playback devices the HDMI audio option.
I already updated the SigmaTel Audio Driver and the Intel GM965 Express Chipset Video Driver and still the problem.
I'm open to any suggestions! Thanks!

Hi oliverortiz77 - Welcome to w7forums

There are seperate downloads for HDMI support.

Which version of Windows do you have? 32-Bit or 64-Bit
Which laptop do you have so we can look for a driver?

@ oliverortiz77

I have proven below steps with notebooks but not with PCs. Most steps you find are tedious and complicated but i have it simplified.

1. connect notebook to TV via HDMI
2. switch to projector only (TV becomes primary screen, notebook is blank)
3. open the Sound control panel
4. click to choose digital TV and make as default playback

You are set --- to test play something from youtube sound should come from TV. You can now extend your display settings, next time you connect to your TV windows 7 will automatically play audio on TV.
