Microsoft Windows 7 Professional Anytime Upgrade from Home Premium - Retail

I just ordered this. Then I read it more carefully. Does this mean I can
only upgrade from an existing Win7 install? Or will it upgrade from a Vista
install, which is what I want. I think the Vista is a Home Premium. (It's a
laptop which is hidden away in a closet.)

It is a Windows 7 to Windows 7. Not Vista to Win 7.

Thanks. The order has been canceled. I gather than instead of an $82
upgrade cost (Newegg) I have an $158 upgrade cost (Buy.com). That is a bit
excessive. I guess instead I'll live with the Vista and find some software
that removes all the crapware on it. My reasons for upgrading is it would
put me in sync folder-wise with my Win 7 Pro desktop and with formatting it
would have been a way to clear out all the crapware that Sony put on it.

You need this, the PC Decrapifier. I've used it and it works great. It
does a system scan, then presents a list of what it can remove. Check
all, or pick and choose, your choice.

Yes.

No. Sorry, you're out of luck, having ordered the wrong thing. The
Microsoft name "Anytime Upgrade" is a very poor and confusing one, in
my view.
