We've had problems with my wifes computer with random faults, BSOD etc since about 10 months after we bought it. I managed to get around the problems by reformatting and reinstalling Windows 7, iIt is now out of warrenty but the problems continue. Following the latest problem I reformatted and re-installed again but had several false starts and finnaly received an error saying there was a hardware problem, but no indication of what or where. I eventually managed to get a new install but am now having problems with various installer problems when re-installing software and games.
the latest resulted in the following message:-
Installer integrity check has failed. Common causes include incomplete download and damaged media. Contact the installer's author to obtain a new copy. More information at: http://nsis.sf.net/NSIS_Error

I attempted the work arounds suggested on the NSIS website without success.

This software (a flight sim received as a download) has installed sucesfuly
on this machine previously without problem and. as a test, began to install on my laptop
before I stopped the install.
Can anyone please advise what could be the problem?

Thanks for the advice. I've tried this but am still having problemns. Other installations are reporting corrupted files within the package, which is not really true as they have installed previously on this machine and also on other machines (as trials)
