I'm having bad luck these days.
Weird things happens and my pc browsers is hijacked by babylon toolbar yesterday.
I don't know when it's installed cos i even did not install anything for months.
I tried to uninstall it, but no luck, it will come back soon.
The other day someone in yahoo answers give me a removal guide: http://www.virus-delete.com/en/guid...toolbar-through-isafe-virus-removal-tool.html
But it requires to download a new antivirus,
I do not know much about it, and just want to make sure nothing will go wrong again.
so is there a simpler way to remove this everyone hated toolbar?
Please help!

I've never heard of that "cleaner" so personally I wouldn't try it. Uninstall Babylon via your control panel > programs and features.

What browsers do you have installed? After you run the uninstall you may need to also find the browser extension in the program files folder and delete it. See this article HERE.

my choice is always applying some 3rd party uninstaller to uninstall annoying toolbar. but now i think the best is to delete it by the method below.

Hope the steps below help you!

1. Uninstall Babylon software

  1. Click the Start Menu and select Control Panel. The Control Panel window will open.
  2. In the Control Panel window click on Add or Remove Programs. The Add or Remove Programs window will open.
  3. From the list of currently installed programs, select Babylon.
  4. To begin the uninstall, click the Remove button to the right of Babylon.

  5. In the Babylon Uninstall Wizard that opens, click Uninstall and then follow the onscreen instructions.

  6. Repeat these steps to remove any other Babylon related software you may have, like Babylon Toolbar, Browser Manager or Browser Protection.
The application is now uninstalled. So let's continue to remove its add-ons, changed preferences and other traces.

2. Remove add-ons, fix your home page and search engine by resetting Firefox
The Firefox Refresh feature will remove the Babylon toolbar from Firefox and reset the preferences it has changed. It will also preserve your personal data but it will restore everything else to their default settings.

    1. Click this Refresh Firefox button directly, if you are viewing this page in Firefox (it won't work if you are using a different browser). You will also find a Refresh button on the top right corner of the Firefox about:support Troubleshooting Information page.
    2. To continue, click Refresh Firefox in the confirmation window that opens.
    3. Firefox will close to refresh itself. When finished, a window will list your imported information. Click Finish and Firefox will open.

Note: There's also a Refresh Firefox button in the Firefox Safe Mode window, if you can't start Firefox normally.
Babylon will now be fully removed from Firefox. The steps below will help you remove other traces of it from your computer. Learn more about the Refresh feature in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.

3. Remove add-ons from your other browsers
If you're also using other browsers, you might want to reset them or remove the Babylon-related add-ons too. The following articles link to external support websites:
