Help installing Halo 2 Vista

i just bought Halo 2 Vista but i can't even play because every time i try to install it i get a message saying:

"One of the installation steps failed, do you want to retry?

redists\vcredists
Fatal error during installation."

Anyone have some advice to get past this?

What OS are you using? Is this game for Vista or Windows 7? Do you have a GPU that can handle the game wether it be onbaord or and add on? Please fill out your system specs.
