I have a Sager laptop P177SM that came with Win7 installed when I bought it a couple of years ago. A couple of weeks ago I decided to upgrade to Win10, I didn't like it so I tried to roll it back to Win7. During the rollback something happened and it screwed up so that the laptop would freeze up at the login screen (keyboard and mouse were unresponsive). Yesterday I did a format and fresh install of Win7, reinstalled all of the system drivers and left the laptop running overnight to run windows update. The WIFI was working fine yesterday and last night before I went to bed but I woke up this morning to find that Windows update failed and the WIFI hasn't worked since, it doesn't detect any available networks. I have tried reinstalling the wifi adapter drivers and that didn't work. I have now reinstalled Win7 again, reinstalled all of the drivers and my wifi network is still not detected. I have 2 phones connected to my wifi network so I know that it is working fine, the issue has to be with the laptop. Is it possible for a failed update to break the wifi hardware? I checked to make sure the WLAN autoconfig service is running and have run network diagnostics but nothing works. Any ideas?

I did some more google searching and figured it out. I went into the device manager, right clicked on the wireless adapter and uninstalled it, then restarted the computer. Installed the drivers and all is good again.
