Windows Update KB915597 (Definition 1.219.648.0)

First part of April, 2016, I did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit on my Dell Dimension desktop, which previously had Vista Home Premium.

Recently I have had a total of 8 Windows Defender updates under KB 915597, each with different definition number. All have installed with the exception of KB 915597 (Definition 1.219.648.0).

I don't use Windows Defender and have it turned off. Is it ok for me to ignore this one failed update?

If you don't use Defender then it's probably best you uninstall it. And no, you don't need an update for a program you don't use.

Thank you. That's what I thought but guess sometimes I'm scared to assume.
