disconnection problem may be fixed

I have recently been having problems with disconnection from the internet, only when I visit certain websites, it recently started acting up when I went to easyjet ( print your own boarding pass page ) I have since went into device manager, network adaptor, properties,advanced, and reset the "task offload" to off. this seems to have fixed my problem, but will doing this make other problems for me elsewhere. I do not know what task offload is.
