Changing Background themes

I'm setting up a new PC with Windows 7. I'm trying to change the "My Themes" background (Black) this seems to be the default setting to a group of pics in Aero Themes (landscapes). Each time I delete the Black theme and replace it with the Landscapes a short time later the Black screen comes back and the Landscape group is gone. Is there some way to change the default setting so I can put a different background in for my desktop and get ride of the Black screen theme?

At this time I have not been able to solve this background theme issue. I hoping to hear from someone in the forum who could provide some advice.

If your version of Windows is "not genuine" or not activated then the OS starts using a black screen; could this be your situation?
