I have a light green icon in the upper right corner next to my minimize/ close icons with changing text. When I hove on it it goes away? Help!

A description of how the light green icon looks like might shed some light of its origin. A screenshot would be better.
Meanwhile, if you remember a date when you did NOT have that issue, use that date or prior as your restore point and do a system restore.
See if the issue will go away after that.

I called my antivirus (ESET) and we found it was an AOL Malware add-on feature. It has been removed and all is running as it should be. I LOVE ESET!
