I have previously setup several user accounts but although I have deleted them from the User Accounts section in the Control Panel, the name of the users are still shown within the path on the C: drive.

I have logged in as administrator and deleted the user names shown on the C: drive and they appear to have been deleted. However, when I restart the PC they reappear.

How is a redundant user name deleted from the C: drive permanently

Every User Name has an AppData folder and an example is shown below

C:\Greeting 7\AppData\Local\Microsoft\InputPersonalization\TextHarvesterTextHarvester.dat

Any help would be welcome as it is driving me mad!!!

Thanks in advance

Run Take Ownership against the folders and then delete them.

If it still persists try deleting with Unlocker.

Both items are listed in our Freeware DB.
