Win Live Mail acting sketchy

My Windows Live mailbox downloads emails and then they dissappear.

I do a search for keywords and the result blinks for one second then defaults back tot he full list of email view.

This is a recent problem. Any idea what might be causing this instability?

They could be going to the junk folder, but Live mail normally gives a message when this occurs.
But are you sure it is downloading mail - not news in newsgroups or anything into "Feeds"

Send yourself an email, with a very significant word in it, that search must find, and see if you can track it.
