W7 wont Backup to Flash Drive

(W7-64)... can copy files to and from NTFS flash drive but W7 Restore will not restore: Error message: '... device not supported (0x810000FB)

It is not recommended to use a flash drive for any type of backup.

I was only Restoring a small file to the Flash Drive - the backup is on an external HD
