I have an HP laptop with 32bit Vista Home Premium installed and would like to upgrade to 32bit Windows 7 Ultimate. Laptop has 4gB Ram and plenty of HD space.
I bought a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate that was supposed to be a full installation CD but turns out to be a Dell Reinstallation disc which has a product code on the box..
I have tried installing as an upgrade which fails at an early stage of file expansion.
I have tried on a reformatted HD which also fails.
Can you please tell me if this is possible to achieve using this disc and if so how?
