I'm using an older laptop, the HP Elitebook 8470p, running MS Windows 7 Ultimate.
The Wi-Fi symbol on the taskbar displays a red cross, indicating that I cannot connect to any network. I sought solutions online and accessed the Windows Mobility Center, where I discovered that the wireless option was greyed out, as shown in the attached image. So, I cannot turn it on. I tried to use the fn + function keys, but without success. Unfortunately, there isn't a designated function key on the keyboard for the wireless option.
I would greatly appreciate your assistance
