SOLVED Unable to write to folder with full permissions

I have a home network with a Win 7 machine and a Win 10 machine. Have set up a home group "successfully". I changed both Sharing and Security permissions on my Win 10 folders to include group "everyone" with "full control" permission; this allows my Win 7 machine to read and write to the Win 10 over the network. However, when I provided same permissions to my Win 7 machine, The Win 10 computer can read but cannot write to these folders. Can anybody help??

Found the problem; I use Norton on all machines, but Norton failed to disable Windows Firewall -- when I disabled the Windows Firewall I was able to write to shared folders as expected.
