Trying to change the program to open video files

Mick.

Hi all,
I am trying to set Nero video to open video files, instead of Windows Media
Player but it is not in the list, so I selected "choose Programme" and it is
not in that list either, the file path to Nero is:
C:\Users\Michael Cant\Desktop\Nero
I have tried putting the file path in the box and can get to the programme
but it is still not showing in the list of programmes to choose from.
Thanks for any thoughts,
Mick.

You have to find & select the .exe file for the program; unless you have
a portable version, it's likely not on the desktop. Normally it resides
in C:\Program Files\Nero

Hi BobbyM,
Thank you with your advice I went to the programme itself
and copied the correct file path and then all was ok.

Goto: Control Panel -> Default Programs

Change the default programs you want to use for the specific file
type.

Respectfully,

MJR
