"Trimming some of the Win7 fat!"

In the "Programs and Features" (who was MS kidding by that name change?),
I failed to pay attention to the "Turn Windows features on and off"
sidebar option. It went by a different name in XP but same behavior.

I shut down the "Tablet PC Components" item as I don't own any, Internet
Explorer 8 (finally??!) and Window's Gadget Platform.

It shutdown and restarted a couple times, once for each? It finally fully
booted up and that was that!

What memory bloat I managed to shut off? I dunno.

You?

Best,

Andy

Which doesn't use any overhead unless you launch it! Doh!
And in any case - all you did was to remove ACCESS - in other words the menu
items.

Maybe.

I just thought there might be some RAM resident savings.

I believe that by doing what you did, you will lose the
capability of using the Snipping Tool, at the very least.
If you suddenly discover that something you need no
longer works, I would turn that "bloat" back on!
