Restore problem

On my Windows7 machines, it seems that restore points are reset on a daily
basis. I can set several restore points OK, but the following day they all
have disappeared and all I'm left with is a daily restore point generated by
the system. There seems to be plenty of space for these restore points, so
I'm at a loss as to why they are being deleted. Is there some registry item
that defines a length of time for the point? On the other hand what is
likely to be deleting such points? Note that I run Comodo Internet security
version 4, but I don't think that is doing the deletes.

Adjust the size of space allocated to restore points You may have it set so
low there is only room for one,

But I can generate several manually with no problem!

How did you configure the system to give you daily restore points ?
I only get restore points created by updates etc., never had them created
on a daily basis.
Try removing Comodo as a test.

I didn't configure anything! It just happened.

Let's try turning it off, then back on. You're losing your points on reboot
anyhow, so it doesn't really matter if you lose any more at this point.
1- Open System by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, and
then clicking System (if "View by" is set to "Small icons" or "Large
icons").
2- In the left pane, click System Protection. If you are prompted for an
administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide
confirmation.
3- Click the Configure box. Under Restore Settings, click the box next to
"Turn off system protection." Click, Apply, then OK to exit.
4- Reboot your PC.

After the PC is back up, repeat steps 1 and 2, but in step 3, click the box
next to "Restore system settings and previous versions of files." Adjust the
space slider if you want to use less space, although if you have a large
hard drive, I'd leave it as is. Click Apply, then OK to exit, then reboot.

I agree with Dave-UK; I only see restore points from when there's an update
to my machine. I had one made today when Defender updated, and the last one
was on July 4, the last update I got. Maybe some other installed program is
forcing daily ones? I don't know of any, but I guess it's possible.

Anyhow, see if turning it off and back on fixes it.
