Hi all,
I have a Samsung CLP 315 Laser colour printer on my Win 7
computer.

I recently bought a second hand CLP 315 for a computer running XP
that I am going to give my son.

I unplugged (with it off) my printer and put the second hand one in
its place thinking the computer would see it as the original printer!
I then saw a notification on my Win 7 computer saying the new device
was ready to use!
In "Devices and Printers" there was a 2nd CLP 315 printer icon marked
"Samsung CLP-310 Series (Copy 1)"

I am trying to remove the "Samsung CLP-310 Series (Copy 1)" from my
system.
I have uninstalled all "Samsung CLP-310 Series printers" using first
the programmes un installer and then "Revo Un installer Pro - 95954"
But the "Samsung CLP-310 Series (Copy 1)" icon is still in "Devices
and Printers"

I am the only user and am set as "administrator".
Once removed I can then reinstall from the Samsung installation disc.

Any help in removing it please.

Look in Device Manager for it, right-click on it, and pick Uninstall. That
will remove the the drivers.

If, after you re-install the drivers and the printer, it still says "(Copy
1)", then just rename it. Or, if there's just the one 310 listed in Devices
and Printers and it works as it should, rename it without uninstalling it.
You can call it anything you want; you don't have to stay with the installed
name.

Thank you for your help.
I did as you suggested and the "copy" one was still there but worked
so I re named it.

You're welcome! Glad it worked out for you.

I have almost always renamed my printers. The one I have now was originally
named "HP DeskJet 3050 J610 series (Network)". Now it's named DJ3050. That's
all I need ;-)
